Over the years, both the Prima and Finn-Power product ranges, now Prima Power, have been developed towards greater flexibility and operating economy through versatility, high automation level and low energy and maintenance cost.

Also for a long time, the ecological aspects have been included among design criteria. This translates into technology and knowhow which meet the requirements of both productivity and more sustainable manufacturing.

Sustainable solutions throughout the range

The first turret punch press featuring servo electric technology was introduced 12 years ago. Subsequently, this solution has been adopted instead of hydraulics in many punch press models, automatic bending solutions and integrated cells. As early as in 1988 we emphasized how the absence of hydraulic oil, a small power connection and low energy consumption have ecological as well as economical significance.

And there is more to it than that. Fiber lasers save energy. Integrated right angle shearing saves material, as do Zero-defect solutions developed for bending and laser cutting. With compact automation, productivity can be raised, with only a modest increase in floor space and much of in-factory logistics eliminated.

In addition to machine design, services have an important role in the Prima Power green approach. Services ensure availability and maximum machine performance and prolong machine life cycle - better operator skills for fewer mistakes and waste parts, as well as more production with lower energy consumption.
